Got the same scenario but didn't try lineage 14. Came from stock Lollipop, factory reset. Did a 1 click root, went fine. install auto rec, went to recovery. upgraded twrp to 3.2.3, reboot to recovery. wipe data/system/cache and installed lineage 16/15 via sideload or zip install but got a wrong aboot version.
